Replacing the present unattractive crown would not result in a cosmetic success unless the gum tissue is changed to create normal-sized teeth.

Sometimes there is too much gum tissue making the teeth appear smaller. A cosmetic crown lengthening can create a new smile without changing your natural teeth.

When a tooth is removed, at times the ridge collapses, leaving a depression in the gum tissue. This affects the size and shape of the tooth replacement. A cosmetic ridge augmentation procedure can "plump" out the ridge so that a normal looking tooth can be created. This will enhance the quality of your smile.

Note that the front teeth are uneven because of the collapsed ridge. After "plumping," the teeth and gum tissue are natural and even.

In situations where there is gum recession that is noticeable when you smile, a connective tissue graft can cover the root surface and recreate your natural smile. The result is a well belnded gumline that has the same color and shape as you had originally.
