Stuart Ross, DMD
 Dr. Stuart Ross is a periodontist in private practice in Warwick as well as Narragansett, Rhode Island. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Queens College in New York and his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After serving in the U.S. Air Force for two years as a Captain, he received his post-doctoral degree, a certificate in advanced graduate studies in Periodontology and Oral Medicine, from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry.
Dr. Ross taught at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in the graduate periodontology department and the VA in Providence. He was the didactic instructor in periodontology for dental hygienists at the University of Rhode Island for 13 years and established the initial didactic periodontology program for dental hygienists at the Community College of Rhode Island.
Dr. Ross has been nominated to the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American Academy of Cranio-Facial Pain, the International College of Dentists, two of the leading dental honor societies in the world. He was nominated by his peers as one of the top periodontists in Rhode Island in the most recent survey by Rhode Island Monthly.
He has been a member of the Rhode Island Dental Society where he served as District American Academy of Cranio-President. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Cranio-Mandibular Society, the International Academy of Implant Dentists, and the Sleep Disorders Dental Society.
Dr. Ross has published a number of papers on periodontics as well as Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, lectured to many groups in these areas as well as Implants and the use of Oral Appliances for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Disorders. He has also testified as an expert witness in these areas. He has been a volunteer dentist for the past 30+ years for the Rhode Island Dedicated Dental Services group, a group providing free dental care to the needy of Rhode Island.
Dr. Ross lives in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife Joni. They are the proud parents of two married sons and two grandsons. |
